Press Release Statement from Dave Daniels

Why Dave chose

People involved in NASCAR and within the racing community are always actively involved in giving back to their communities. Racer's are like a different breed of people. Most of us come from fairly humble origins and understand the value of a dollar, and even more importantly; hard work. When the opportunity arose for us to become apart of Azalea Charities we jumped to greet it. It wasn't a sponsorship (something we desperately need) it was a partnership, a partnership with perhaps the most respected charity in the area. When we approached the charity's founder and chairman, Frank Lasch with the idea, it wasn't long before the boots and socks came off, and we soaked our feet with the prospect of this new idea. The charity focuses on aiding local causes like "Boys and Girls Clubs, Special Olympics, Homeless Shelters, Leukemia/Lymphoma Research, Juvenile Diabetes, and Education-based projects". Outside the local charities, they have Aid for Wounded Warriors, an international program designed to aid those "sick, injured or wounded from service in Iraq and Afghanistan".

Growing up wanting to serve my country, and being unable due to pre-existing medical conditions, to still have a connection with the United States Military definitely hits close with me. This is more than just a connection; this is a hopeful long term relationship between a rising race team "Dave Daniels Racing" and a well established charity. Using the connections I have made through racing, I hope that I find myself as a useful asset to the organization. I want to put their information into the hands of the fans that come to be entertained on Saturday night and not only raise money but awareness. I'm honored to be involved with Azalea Charities.
