What is Legends
Racing?
Legend Car
racing is a motorsport with 5/8-scale replicas of American automobiles
from the 1930s and 1940s raced in NASCAR modified. The cars are
required to be in very close spec with each other.
In April of
1992, the first Legend cars debuted at Lowes Motor Speedway
in Charlotte, North Carolina. The rule book committee for Legend
car racing is called INEX
These cars
have been known to top out at 140 mph. The Legends car is an affordable
racecar with a unique design that requires little maintenance
and cost. This along with the need for speed is what makes this
car so popular today!
Legend drivers
are classified into four different divisions.
The Pro Division is for the experienced mature driver.
The Masters Division features drivers 40 years and up.
The Semi-Pro Division is considered the novice class, featuring
new drivers to the sport or who have taken a leave of absence
from racing.
Last but not least is the Young Lions Division, drivers between
the ages of 12 and 16.
