Dave would get his second Semi Pro Win
Dave would be the first Semi Pro driver to cross the finish line this evening,
therefore picking up his 2nd Semi Pro WIN

The air was filled with emotion, as tonight’s race would produce track champions. The Legends race was to be the last points race of the year, but at the last minute the schedule changed and we were asked to race one more point’s race in October.

Tonight’s events would start with the introduction of drivers, followed by the National Anthem, and finally the dropping of the green flag.

Dave during driver introductions

The Legends field would be comprised of 16 cars. Dave would start 4th on the outside and finish the night with a solid 3rd place finish.

The 87 car would start to get loose on the track. Dave was forced to make a choice, he could run over the 87, get hit from behind by the 8 or go low. He choose to go low and he and the 89 car would trade paint.

Dave’s gutsy move after the race takes everybody by surprise. The top two drivers are always interviewed after the race. Imagine our surprise when Dave pulled into victory lane, for what we thought was to congratulate Roger Austin Jr. and Jeff Hendrick. Although Dave did congratulate them, he later explained that he felt it was about time for him to be interviewed. He had done well and just got his second Semi Pro Win and had a feeling he might have a difficult time beating Austin Jr., so it was now or never, and he went for it.

INEX NATIONWIDE Semi-Pro (Asphalt) -

Dave is ranked 190 out of 663 drivers Nationwide with 1259 points - I find these numbers staggering, as this is his first year in Legends. The more races you race, the more points you receive. Many drivers travel the circuit and race over 20 to 30 races a year; we hope to do more traveling next year and look forward to placing higher in the points.
