Dave would mount a serious charge to the
front, only to be denied a half of a car length in the end. He
would finish 2nd in tonight's event!
Pete Green #11 started up front, while Dave
started in the back of the field after the inversion. Dave worked
his way up through the field, encountering stiff competition,
which allowed Green to drive away as the laps counted down. Dave
caught Green with three laps to go. On the last lap, coming out
of turn four, he tried to make an inside move, only to be denied
at the checkers.
Congratulations to car #11 Pete Green for
his first win of the season.
From Old Dominion Speedway
Faster Pastor Pete Green held off the serious challenge
of point leader Dave Daniels over the final laps to take home
his first win of 2010 in the 25 lap Mini Modified event. Green
started up front, while Daniels started in the back of the field
after the inversion. But Daniels car came up through the filed
and caught Green with a couple of laps to go. Green held off an
outside move on the white flag lap to secure the win. Following
Green and Daniels was Mike Carte, Keith Riley, and Todd Johnston.
