Old Dominion Speedway 6-13-2009
NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Mini Modified Racing
Tonight’s event was caution free!

Despite ominous skies and humid temperatures, tonight’s scheduled event went off without a hitch.

Dave qualified second and would start on the outside of row two. He lined up behind the # 11 car of Paul Green.

The pace car would drop down out of turn four and the green flag waved for tonight‘s event. Keith Riley had a great start and maintained the lead for two laps, before being taken over by the #11 car. Paul Green would maintain the lead for the remainder of the race, with Dave in a close second.

After the race Dave was exhausted, he said, "this was the hardest I have ever driven". "I did everything I could to catch the #11, but just could not real him in."

While we realize that this division is loaded with experience and talent, we also feel that Dave is starting to prove himself as a real contender. His consistency and hard work are starting to pay off! We are not hooked-up yet, but with some luck, we hope to get there sooner than later.
