Today's weather was overcast with a slight breeze. The excitement of the second race of the season was prevalent and everyone looked eager and ready to go!

We struggled with the car's setup throughout the day and Dave qualified 9th. Hard work and determination finally resulted in a racecar that Dave was satisfied with.

Dave running 7th made a great pass on the back straight-a-way to take 6th, only to be turned a couple laps later existing turn four. The incident resulted in flat spotted tires and the tow being knocked out of the car, which made it difficult to drive. Dave never gave up! Before taking the checkers, he cleanly raced #23 Steve Jenkins door handle to door handle, which resulted in a great show for the fans. He was even congratulated by Jenkins and his spotter, who said, "that's how it's done, that's the most fun I've had in a long time".

Dave's car on the front straight-a-way after being turned!

It's been a tough season thus far! Two races, two unnecessary wrecks!
Unfortunately, because of tonight's altercation, Dave would finish the race in the 11th position.
Our desire to compete has never wavered, but it has become costly.
Hopefully things will turn around for us soon!
