Today's skies looked threatening
and many of us believed we would get rained out.
Mother Nature decided to give us a break and bring on the sun!
Along with the sun came hot and humid temps.
#34 Dave would be tonight's pole sitter for the Mini Modified
Division
Dave would start in the 3rd position but because of a slow start
with the car in front of him he would fall back to 4th. He would
battle his way to the front by passing the #77 and setting his
sights on the #44. The #44 and #34 of Dave Daniels would drive
a spirited race for a couple of laps before he was able to get
around him in turn 4. Daniels would take the lead from #11 midway
through the race and cruise to his third win of the season.
Although these cars are fast, they
have slowed down over last year's top speed.
Last year the track record was broken by #11 Paul Green with a
top qualifying speed of 17.220 - This year, Dave's top qualifying
speed thus far is 17.460, which has also been matched by #11 Pete
Green, Paul Green's brother.

Point leader Dave Daniels took
home feature win number three in the 25 lap Mini Modified event.
Daniels took over the top spot just before the halfway mark and
cruised to the win over veteran Mike Carte. Keith Riley, Pete
Green, and Kevin Davis rounded out the top five.
