Today was overcast and cold as we took our first official practice and qualifying runs at Old Dominion Speedway. Anticipation was high as Dave started his rookie season in the NASCAR Whelen Late Model Division, after winning the Mini Modified Titles in 09 and 2010. With limited sponsorship and a very competitive field, this season will be challenging!
We are proud to announce that Leo and Sam Farber have joined the Dave Daniels Racing team. Our relationship with the Farbers started back with Go Karting in 2005 at King George Speedway.
Dave would practice his #34 Daniels Auto Care, Ashcraft Associates, racecar twice and qualified in the top ten for tonight's event. He was in good company with legendary top drivers, and looked forward to his first start in this division.

Unfortunately today's race
would be canceled shortly before the Late Models would take the
field. Mother Nature had her way and covered the track with a
light mist, which would have made for adverse racing conditions.
I applaud Old Dominion Speedway for making the right call and
thinking of the safety of their drivers.
