THE BIG ONE- LAST RACE OF THE YEAR!

Dave had a notable rookie year and has proven
himself as a legitimate contender.

Today’s temps were ideal for racing! The air was cool and offered a slight breeze.
The clouds wisped through the sky rapidly, which resulted in a clear horizon for a great event!

Tonight’s race would be the last one of the season, emotions were high and a $5,000.00 purse would be awarded to the winning Late Model driver. The Legends division would crown a new track champion.

Oh what a night!

Tonight's event would pack in the fans and the drivers gave them their monies worth.
Dave would be plagued by tire problems. Although we desperately tried to buy, beg, steal and borrow tires, we were unsuccessful. Dave would drive the race of his life! He managed to handle a very loose race car, on the verge of being out of control and picked up a 4th place finish. Upon inspection of Dave’s tires after the race, it was discovered that the right rear tire had a small puncture, and was nearly flat.

We have learned a lot this year and look forward to using this knowledge in 2008. This season has been the pinnacle of Dave’s life! He has accomplished so much and has become a worthy adversary, no longer will he agonize over the unknown. His whimsical personality has attracted many friends, who Dave admires and respects. Contrary to popular belief, most drivers are supportive of one another, have a sense of humor and are not contentious.

Congratulations to Jeff Hedrick, the new Legends track champion and to Matt Cannon for tonight’s win.

Dave’s finishes resulted in the following stats for his
2007 ROOKIE SEASON

OLD DOMINION SPEEDWAY
(
5) Top five finishes
(
9) Top ten finishes.

He also finished 6th for the year out of 37 drivers
We are convinced that had he not been involved in a couple of wrecks at the beginning of the season, he could have easily finished higher in the points. This is not to mention that the first 6 races he drove the car with a bent frame.

INEX NATIONWIDE Semi-Pro (Asphalt) -
Shenandoah Speedway and Old Dominion Speedway

Dave is ranked 190 out of 663 drivers Nationwide with 1259 points - I find these numbers staggering, as this is his first year in Legends. The more races you race, the more points you receive. Many drivers travel the circuit and race over 20 to 30 races a year; we hope to do more traveling next year and look forward to placing higher in the points.
