Michael Waltrips #55 NAPA Auto Parts Car

NAPA would put on a first class
show, above is the day's agenda.
They would greet fans before lunch and present them with top notch
goodie bags,
which included the following.

NAPA Drink holder, ear plugs, hat and car.

Rain Coat and front and back of Michael's NAPA Tee Shirt

Chevy Rock and Roll Concert
featuring Chris Daugherty

Rickey Rudd's #88 Snickers
car and Dale Earnhardt Jr's #8 car

Dave sat right next to Michael
Waltrip, therefore explaining his thumb in this photo.
Funny side
note;
Waltrip was sitting next to Dave, signing autographs for the fans,
when Daves dad noticed that Michaels chair was twisted.
Mike leaned over and tapped Dave on the shoulder and told Dave
to tell Michael his chair was getting ready to break. Dave looked
at Mike, laughed and said "no way!" Minutes later the
chair broke and Waltrip was sprawled out on the floor. He popped
up as if nothing happened and continued to sign autographs. In
the mean time Michaels PR person grabbed a chair and placed
it behind him.
Michaels reflexes are as quick on the track as they are
off the track!

Michael on stage apologizing
for not qualifying for today's race.
He was very embarrassed and upset that he failed to qualify by
a couple hundreds of a second. He is a genuine person, very humorous
and kind.
His fans are loyal to him and they gave him a very warm reception.
Michael appeared to be touched!

Lunch was outstanding!
It was a good home southern style meal.
On stage Michael would thank NAPA and their workers for their
support throughout the year. He would also thank the fans and
announce that he would sign autographs for anyone 12 and under.
Of course the adults lined up for their shot at an autograph as
well.
Michael would draw the winning ticket for a helmet and display
case worth $850.00 unfortunately we did not win!

Dave in NASCAR Heaven!
