WORLD KARTING ASSOCIATION

KING GEORGE - Jr Stock-Animal
World Karting Association Divisional Champ

The World Karting Association, or WKA, is an American racing organization for karting. It was founded in 1971, at a time
when the IKF was the only American karting organization.

Kart racing (as the word is so spelled by enthusiasts) or karting is a variant of open-wheeler motor sport with simple, small four-wheeled vehicles called karts, go-karts, or gearbox/shifter karts depending on the design. By definition a kart must have no suspension (relying on chassis flex), and no differential (solid back axle). Karting is commonly perceived as the stepping stone to the higher and more expensive ranks of motorsports. Karts were initially created in the United States in the 1950s post-war period by airmen as a way to pass spare time.

A special thanks to Jerry Hill and sons!
Mr. Jerry Hill and his sons Tim and Taylor were kind enough
to offer a Junior Champ-Animal car for Dave to race. Dave was very
appreciative of the opportunity and finished the year in second place in
both divisions.
